Resort Activities - The resort has a swimming pool, tennis courts, pool table, gymnasium, games room, BBQ area, children's jungle gym, board games, table tennis, on-site restaurant and bar, in-house movie channel,bike hire and kookaburra feeding every afternoon on the terrace.
Reception Hours - Our Reception/Tour Desk operates between 8 am and 6 pm Sunday to Thursday and between 8 am and 7pm Friday and Saturday. Dial 9 to contact reception from your room. A duty manager is available for emergencies 24hrs by dialling 9. Please see reception if you require any photocopying, mailing or faxing done, bookings for tours, cars or bikes, for purchases of stamps, souvenirs or any general assistance from our friendly staff.
MacArthur's Restaurant and Bar - MacArthur's Restaurant is open for breakfast from 7.30 am to 9.30 am Monday to Saturday and 7.30 am to 10 am on Sunday. Lunch is open on weekends only from 12 noon till
2.00 pm. Dinner from 6 pm to 9 pm daily.
The bar is open 5pm till late Monday - Thursday and 2pm till late Friday - Sundays.
The pool table is located in the bar. Coffee and cakes are also available.
Kookaburra feeding - Join us on the terrace each night at 5:30pm to feed the resident kookaburras. Make sure you bring your camera.
Swimming Pool- The swimming pool is open from 7am till 9pm. We have a toddler pool and we ask that all children are be accompanied by an adult at all times. Pool towels can be hired at reception for $5 per towel.
Tennis Courts - We have two floodlit courts. Racquet's and balls are available at reception.
Push Bikes - Bikes are available at reception for a fee of $15 per day. Long term rates are also available. Please ask at reception.
Games Room - Open from 8am till 7pm daily.
Gymnasium - Enjoy a workout in our newly renovated island style gymnasium. Located just before you reach the tennis courts.
Internet - We have 2 internet computers located in reception and wireless internet is also available. Please contact reception for more information.
Guest laundry - The guest laundry is located adjacent to the rock pool garden. The machines are coin- operated with change and soap powder available from reception.
Barbeque - Located just before the tennis courts you can purchase barbeque coins from either reception or the restaurant. One token costs $1 and will last 25 minutes.
Playground - The playground is located in the area to the right of the guest BBQ, very close to the tennis courts.
Checkout - Checkout time is 10am. If you require a later checkout please contact reception by dialling 9 to make your request.
Inside your Resort Room
* Air-conditioning - Your room has its own air-conditioner which can be adjusted to suit your requirements. Please note that the air-conditioners are not reverse cycle.
* Kitchenette - Your kitchenette contains a bar fridge, microwave, toaster and tea/coffee making facilities. Inside the cupboards you will find all crockery and cutlery.
* Ensuite - You will find containers of liquid soap by the sink and in the shower for your convenience. Extra toilet paper and towels can be obtained from reception.
* Irons and ironing boards - These are located in the kitchenette cupboard of your room.
* Telephone - Your room is equipped with direct dial telephone IDD and ISD. Dial 0 for an outside line and for room to room calls just dial the room number. Please be aware that the resort does not qualify for any Telstra or Optus special offers.
Local Calls are charged at $0.70
STD Calls are charged at approximately $1.00/minute

Rainy Days
Do not despair!
There is always something to do on the Island, rain, hail or shine!
* A variety of board games are available from Reception.
Games include: Playing cards, backgammon, Monopoly, Cluedo, Uno, Scrabble etc...
* Visit the resort gym or games room
* Wander through one of the many art galleries on the island
* Enjoy a relaxing massage either in your room or at one of the island's day spas
* Indulge in a little retail therapy at one of the various boutiques
* Visit the island aquarium to see the giant clams, clown fish and a variety of marine life. Its just a 2 minute stroll from
the resort.
* Magnetic Island Bus Tours run morning and afternoon
* Tropicana adventure tours have 3 hour morning tours or 5 hour sunset tours
* Blueys horse riding is in Horseshoe Bay and offers 2 hour bush and beach rides
* Cuddle a koala at Bungalow Bay. The koala sanctuary run 3 guided tours daily

Curlews The Curlew's presence is most often indicated by their wailing calls after dusk. They are most active from dusk to early morning and are particularly active on moonlit nights. The Curlew is Magnetic Island's most distinctive creature. |

Brahminy Kite The Brahminy Kite is one of the medium-sized raptors (birds of prey), brown with a white head and breast. |

Sulphur Crested Cockatoo One of Australia's most popular birds can be seen (and heard) around the resort all year round. |

Koalas High in the trees behind units 189 to 196 koalas may be spotted catching the sea breeze. |

Possums You will usually spot these little critters late into the afternoon and throughout the evening. As cute as they are, they do have very sharp teeth and have been known to bite. It is advisable not to feed them. |

Rock Wallabies These relatively rare wallabies can sometimes be seen near the Radical Bay Units in the resort at dusk and early in the morning. |

Snakes As we are located in a National Park there is always the chance you may come across a snake. Not all snakes are dangerous however please do not approach or disturb them. Please contact any of our Resort staff if you have any concerns. |
